Palin immigrated to the USA at 10 years old without knowing a word of English. This did not stop her from finishing at the top of her class every year excelling in English while adding Spanish and French to her arsenal of languages. Always wanting to lead, in her teens she led a Junior Achievement team as President achieving her goal of providing returns to all of their stockholders.
Palin received her BA from the University of California, San Diego in Psychology and Spanish Literature where she led the school as a founder of the Armenian Foundation. Working as a financial analyst at UCSD prompted her to pursue her MBA. Receiving her MBA in Finance in her 20s was another goal Palin had set out to accomplish. While working on her MBA she worked as an assistant to the Dean of Finance at San Diego State University helping with graduate admissions and also served as a credit analyst at Wells Fargo Bank writing credit authorizations for corporations while creating a unique customer financial statement tracking system for the bank. Palin spent most of her career at IBM as an eServer Hardware manager assisting small businesses and fortune 100 companies optimize their IT infrastructure across multiple industries including distribution, finance, entertainment, manufacturing and Asian automotive. At this stage in her life she realized how much she loved consulting and helping others achieve the goals they set out on. Her passion for education led Palin to Director positions at private schools, developing, managing, automating enrollment and business operations while leading all fundraising efforts. Streamlining these operations helped the schools run more efficiently in order to better achieve the children’s goals.
Palin has been happily married to a United States Marine Veteran for over 30 years and has 2 smart, handsome boys. As a devoted military wife she dedicated countless hours as a Key Volunteer and assisted with the Wounded Warrior project receiving the top award from the commanding officer for her dedication to service. Academics have been paramount in Palin’s life and she co-founded the San Juan Hills High School Academic Foundation serving on the board as President. Palin loves to give back to the community in the Sciences and Arts and served as the Vice President on the board at the Orange County Academy of Science and Arts Charter School and her love of finance led her to the SJHHS Executive Board of the Performing Arts as Treasurer responsible for a $150,000+ non-profit organization.
Joseph Frank Bevacqua, MBA
Chief Financial Officer and Director
Joe has over forty years of experience in Public and Private accounting. Since 1972 his independent consulting experiences are vast in manufacturing, construction and military contracting. As a prior CFO, Joe Bevacqua served both small and large legal firms. He spent several years with KPMG International-Global. He also consulted with various owners and directors of start-up companies. One of the companies grew into a nationwide international clothing company, LRG.
Joe was educated and obtained his B.S. degree in accounting from California State University, Long Beach. He also obtained his MBA from Pepperdine University Graziado Business School. He is currently a Certified Public accountant in the state of California.
Joe has participated in major education programs for start-up Girls and Boys Charter Schools now in their 8th year in Los Angeles, supporting college students mainly thru Marist College and other Universities with scholarship funding. Remodeling of High School in San Pedro, CA. Sharing in huge family dreams as consultant for Long Beach, CA World Trade Center and spiritual hopes for Baumer Hall, Notre Dame, Indiana. He has served on small boards of various private foundations.
Joe’s greatest success has been the gift of his wife, eight children and grand children.
